Using a Google Play or App Store Purchase on Other Platforms
On Google Play and the Apple App Store, Immersive Chinese uses the required Google/Apple subscription system, which is limited to those platforms.
However, you can still use Google Play or App Store purchases on the website version. The steps required are described below:
Lifetime purchases
For permanent purchases, all you need to do is log into a user account in the app and you will be automatically prompted to sync. You can also find this option inside My Account in the app (see images below). After syncing, you can log into the same user account on any platform and get full access.
Recurring subscriptions
For recurring subscriptions made on Google Play or the App Store, the situation is more complex. For technical reasons, it's not possible to sync these automatically with the web version (because the server does not have access to the expiry date). However, it's still possible to manually sync the subscription by contacting support.
Contact support@immersivechinese.com, mention that you want to sync the subscription, and provide:
1. Your Immersive Chinese user account (an email address).
2. Your Google Play order number (begins with "GPA"). For App Store subscriptions, please provide a screenshot of the confirmation email you received from Apple.
